I provide expert Infectious Diseases and Wound Care, combining the latest medical advances with a warm, patient-centered approach. My goal is to offer the level of care found at leading academic centers, right here on the Emerald Coast.

Over more than 20 years in medicine—and over 15 years in academic medical centers—I have served as a Professor of Medicine and authored more than 130 scientific publications, including in the New England Journal of Medicine, JAMA, and Clinical Infectious Diseases, with over 7,000 citations of my work.

Throughout my career, I have been a Hospital Epidemiologist in major academic health systems in Miami, FL and Milwaukee, WI, and I also served as Chief Quality and Safety Officer at an academic health system in Richmond, VA. These roles focused on infection prevention, patient safety, and improving the quality of care for entire hospitals and health systems.

Now, in this chapter of my career, I bring everything I have learned over the past 25 years to the care of each individual patient—offering thoughtful, evidence-based, and highly personalized care in Destin, FL.
